Mr. Samuel Worzie is a Liberian businessman and national stakeholder with 18 years of experience in both the private and public sector management.
He studied Finance and Systems at the Cuttington University Graduate School (CUGS) in Liberia. Still on the academic front, he holds bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Management from the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) and Economics from the University of Liberia.
Mr. Worzie also has in possession several professional certificates and diplomas in Procurement, Shipping and Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Monitoring and Evaluation, as well as Investigative Journalism.
He founded COSCA Group in 2012 following his return from attending the Congress of African Trade and Logistics (CRIPA) and International Road Transport Union (IRU) in Casablanca, Morocco.
He served sundry positions of trust within the Government of Liberia, including;
Operations Coordinator - Liberia National Port Authority (NPA);
Statistician – Department of Documentation and Statistics, NPA;
Financial Consultant - National Social Security & Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP)
Procurement & Supply Chain Consultant- Liberia National Lotteries Authority (LNLA)
Administrative Manager - Liberia Airport Authority Project Office
Procurement Manager -National Transit Authority (NTA)
He got his inspiration to establish COSCA Haulage & Logistics and COSCA Shipping following a thoughtful analysis of the vision and the huge business prospects Liberia and the African continent in general possess; he amended the articles of incorporation, which enabled the creation of the Cyclone Group of Companies (COSCA Group). The current group of Companies is comprised of several subsidiaries, namely:
COSCA Group, COSCA Haulage & Logistics, Cyclone Security System, CYCTECH, Cyclone Eco, Cyclone Realty Co., Cyclone Mining Co., Cyclone Engineering, Cyclone Oil & Gas, and Neyalah Marketing Company.
In 2019, COSCA Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with three South Korean Companies to implement different business projects in Liberia and in other prospective African countries. The corporate agreements were entered into with SIP Korea Co., Ltd., BMC Trading Company, and Olive Mountain Ltd Co., respectively.
